Black Friday 2019 Ad Preview: Kohl’s Biggest Deals

Instantly capturing attention is the size of Kohl’s Black Friday ad. At 64-pages, it’s a monster with a massive range of deals. Less impressive, however, is the shipping policy with the store requiring a $50 minimum spend for free delivery. That said, almost all the top deals will require you to spend more than $50.  Tip: rival Black Friday 2019 shipping policies can be found for Amazon (here), Best Buy (here), Target (here) and Walmart (here). These deals will not go live until November 25 but do not forget them because they are some of the best you will find during Black Friday 2019: Once again Kohl’s is really standing out from its rivals thanks to Kohl’s Cash. As such it is likely to have the top Xbox, Switch, PS4 Slim, Google Nest and Beats Black Friday deals this year. Kohl’s will also beat Amazon’s best deals on its own products when Kohl’s Cash is involved.  The only disappointing omissions the lack of a PS4 Pro deal (perhaps it will come for Cyber Monday) and any further TV offers, though this shows Kohl’s current live sales are the real deal right now.  Looking for more Black Friday live deals? Halloween Candy: What’s the Best Candy to Give on Halloween?

You can be forgiven for having a panic attack the next time you’re confronted with a bunch of little Spider-Mans and Elsas at your door demanding candy on Halloween. After all, you may feel judged by trick-or-treaters who think you’re being stingy because of your choice of candy. Maybe those tiny fun-size bags of Skittles just don’t cut it? Why do some households spend big money just so they can give out full-size candy bars on Halloween? Is it just because they’re super generous and like to put smiles on kids’ faces? Or are there other forces at play, nudging shoppers into an arms race over bigger and better Halloween candy? As a new Fortune story points out, retailers like Costco and Amazon now routinely push bulk quantities of full-size Snickers and Hershey bars. This has an effect on people, as store displays and featured products provide cues to shoppers as to what they’re expected to buy, Wharton professor of marketing and psychology Deborah Small explained to Fortune. Another factor could be categorized under “keeping up with the Joneses.” If you’re aware that your neighbor is handing out full-size bags of Skittles, you might feel pressure to do the same, or at least be g...

Dad puts everyone else first, always. The silent saint, bending over backward and running himself ragged,

Dad puts everyone else first, always. The silent saint, bending over backward and running himself ragged, and for what? The big piece of chicken? This year, in addition to thanking him endlessly for all the free hot water and electricity you’ve pilfered over the years, find a perfect boozy gift he’ll love; something he would never buy himself—having blown his rainy day fund on your college loans—but totally deserves.  From a well-crafted bottle of booze to a snazzy gadget or accessory that’ll vault his cocktail game, we did all the legwork. So put that shirt/tie combo back on the shelf and make some liquid magic happen this Father’s Day. If Dad is a tequila drinker, these shot or sipping glasses are made from natural Himalayan salt and add a salty finish to his favorite tequila. They’re solid and sturdy and won’t melt away, so pair them with a good bottle of tequila, and get those bottoms up. These limited-release bitters were recreated with the original, now 150-year-old, Boker’s bitters recipe found in the very first cocktail book ever published, The Bar-Tender’s Guide: How to Mix Drinks, or The Bon-Vivant’s Companion by Je...
