Laminated safety glass with SentryGlas® ionoplast interlayer has played an important part in enabling the design of an all-glass staircase installed at the Onassis Cultural Center museum on Fifth Avenue, New York, USA. The Onassis Cultural Center NY of the Onassis Foundation (USA) showcases a wide range of cultural and artistic programs that explore all phases of Hellenic civilization – ancient, Byzantine and modern. The museum was recently renovated in order to significantly upgrade and expand the galleries and to give the public space of the Olympic Tower Atrium an enhanced new look. The staircase is minimalistic in its design and features a cantilevered middle landing. The vertical stringers were made with four plies of glass bonded together by SentryGlas® ionoplast interlayers. AGNORA, laminator on the project, is the North American leader in high precision, extra-large architectural glass fabrication. Recently Bionik released their version of a Bluetooth adapter for the Nintendo Switch called the BT Audio Sync. The point, of course, is adding Bluetooth support for the Switch, arguably one of the most requested features to the switch that was left out. In our day and age, all devices use Bluetooth or at least just about. BT Audio Sync provides Bluetooth support and more features. How does it add up, read our review and find out! This is our BT Audio Sync review. Being a long-time gamer with a family often proves to exhibit more issues then one would think. One issue that I find becoming more and more is my ability to hear audio. No, I am not talking about losing my hearing, What I am referring to is that my wife and children seem to generate more and more sound then I had thought possible, seriously I swear I am at a rock concert at times. Most and more I find that I keep the volume levels down to zero. I am a thoughtful person and I tend to keep the volume low so I do not disturb others, a sentiment I wish was contagious. With the release of the BT Audio Sync, I felt this was my chance to regain my ability to hear the lovely in-games sounds and music. In a way, you could call...

For millions of Latin Americans, the Colombina factory in La Paila is the place where sweet

For millions of Latin Americans, the Colombina factory in La Paila is the place where sweet moments are made. For millions of Latin Americans, the Colombina factory in La Paila is the place where sweet moments are made. Like any good immigrant, I know on which bodega shelves to find the food portals to my childhood. I know where to turn, where to crouch, where to bow before the ready-made boxes to make Colombian buñuelos, pandebonos, pandeyucas and arepas. But the one food item I cannot find in San Francisco is the candy of my childhood. I grew, as we say in Colombia, a punta de Bon Bon Bum. The strawberry lollipop was such a central part of my diet, I wouldn’t be surprised if I was made of equal parts Valle del Cauca sugar and red dye No.40. Bon Bon Bums (pronounced like the French bonbon and the English “boom”) are lollipops with a gum center made in tropical flavors commonly found in the country (maracuyá, watermelon, lulo, pineapple, mango). They are the star product of Colombina, the nation’s beloved candy company. Bon Bon Bums are exported to 90 countries, including all of South America, the Caribbean and even Papua New Guinea and China. In much of Latin America, the phras...

Regens Metals using Gensco cable strippers to meet market demands

Owned by Logan Baniulis, Regens Metals is located in Estevan, Saskatchewan. Baniulis, with a background in the waste hauling industry for three decades, turned his focus to scrap metal close to five years ago. In October 2018, he opened a new scrapyard in Estevan, relocating from the small rural town of Bienfait, Saskatchewan. At the new, larger location, Regens Metals buys and sells ferrous and nonferrous scrap, some e-waste and plastics, and runs their home base for the company’s hauling and container services, as well as their farm and industrial site salvage and cleanup business.  Len Rody, Regens’ operation manager, started in October 2018 when they opened the new scrapyard. “I’ve been in the scrap business since the late 80s,” says Rody. “Mainly I worked in Alberta where I was contracted with Suncor processing scrap. Then I ran a medium-sized yard in the City of Edmonton – Canadian Consolidated Salvage. I have processed just about every type of machinery, including a lot of heavy equipment from farm and oilfield decommissioning and site cleanups. I’ve cut up everything from wheel loaders, tractors and excavators to draglines....
